Welcome!
My name is Karen Hardy and I am the first ever write-in candidate for the Santa Clara City Council. I did this because I was so upset to see no one filed to run against Kevin Moore. He claims the responsibility for inviting the San Francisco 49ers to come to Santa Clara and build a stadium with city money!
The City of Santa Clara should NOT be subsidizing a stadium for a private business. If the 49ers want a new stadium they can build it themselves, pay for it and run it. If it is on city owned land they can pay rent to the city just as Great America does now.
If you write me in and I am elected I would not allow city rescources to be used in this manner.
